Lakeffect cattery was founded in 1997 following the purchase of a Maine Coon spay, Chadwickoon Molly Pitcher. I had so much fun at her breeder's that I decided that I had to join in. My first breeding cat, Ch Franmar Misty Blu of Lakeffect was purchased about 8 months later and I starting showing.

Mission Statement

All our kittens are raised under foot as family pets. There are no cages in Lakeffect Cattery, males have their own rooms and the girls run most of the house. Kittens are allowed to run once they reach about 6 weeks of age and have their first shots.

Our goal is to raise healthy, happy, sane kittens that make great pets and do well in the show ring.
