Hello,
My name is Mark Aleksandrowicz, although most of my friends, neighbors, and customers know me as Mark Aleks, part owner of Aleks Powersports, our family business, on the corner of 15th and Peninsula Drive in Erie. Going back over a year ago, I've become concerned over the way our city government has been conducting itself. And I'll bet that many of you, like myself, feel that we've just about had enough! That's why I have decided to run for city council. It's time that our local government has a candidate with a business background to offer new ideas, common sense, and the ability to understand basic business and economic principles. Each day business owners and managers are confronted with both regular and unique problems, and must be able to solve them quickly and efficiently in order to survive and grow. While on City Council I will be consistently offering new ideas and solutions for moving this city and community in a positive direction. I know how to deliver good value and customer service, a basic principle that many in government have never understood. This city and surrounding communities are rich with a diversity of ethnic backgrounds, along with fond memories of our collective history and heritage. But this region, state, and country is changing at an increasing rate. Today we can only be guaranteed of one thing: what was yesterday, will be different tomorrow. Remembering and preserving our past, experiencing today, and planning for tomorrow is now what is most important. This city and region is at a cross-roads, and cannot any longer continue to grip onto the past and delay the necessary changes we need to move onward into the future. Everyone involved in business understands this, and that's why so many friends and business associates are encouraging me to run. To bring many of my concepts and ideas to reality I not only ask for you to vote for me on election day, but to offer any financial or volunteer services that you can provide to my campaign. Please help me, so that I may be able to help thousands of citizens by being the most innovative voice on City Council. Thank you,
Mark J. Aleksandrowicz |
